Wondering what Viberg has coming out in the second half of 2021? Well, wonder no longer! Viberg has been kind enough to offer Stitchdown—and therefore, you—an exclusive early look at the rangy Fall/Winter collections that will be available at Viberg.com and through whichever of your favorite retailers decide to pick up some of the below makeups.
Brett Viberg came on the Shoecast to discuss the lineup (and plenty more), which you can listen to below:
One of the biggest questions that you’ll probably be asking: when do these things release? Well, that’s still TBD, but they’ll most likely be dropped in groupings that match Viberg’s new collection categories: Classic (Service Boots, Chelseas, derby shoes, wholecut derby boots, slippers…Bernhards!), City (Scouts, sneakers in all forms), Terrain (Hikers and Pachena Bays), and Refined (the new Bastion oxfords, Halkett derby boots, and Herald side-zips).
So I can’t say for sure which will be available for Stitchdown Patina Thunderdome usage, but rest assured that at least half of them will be out in time for the Oct 1, 2021 start of the judged wear contest with over $10,000 in prizes (including an MTO pair from Viberg).
Also important: throughout the rest of the year, Viberg will also be dropping other web-exclusive pre-orders (shell cordovan and otherwise), and available-immediately capsule collections, which aren’t listed here. But you can always stay tuned to the @stitchdown Instagram account to stay up to date on those.

THE STITCHDOWN FAVORITES
1035 Service Boot in Maryam Muschio Horsebutt
This is the one for me. Plain toe 1035 just doing it right with the extra space up front, a lesser-used Maryam horsebutt shade in the Muschio, natural edge that’ll wear right along with the boots, all eyelets. Absolute classic Viberg perfection.
2030 Service Boot in Horween Saddle Tan Chromepak
Chromepack releases have been some of the most fabled Viberg makeups of them all, and this one’s right there. Ridgeway sole, and 100% eyelets. Get it done.
310 Service Boot in Horween Natural Dublin
The 310 rennaissance continues with a whole bunch of makeups in Fall/Winter, but this natural Dublin iteration is my favorite (with Rowdy Dachshund being no. 2). 100% eyelets, Dainite sole.
2030 Halkett Derby Boot in Comipel Brown Horsebutt
The more I look at the Halkett, the more I really like it. Brett has been raving about this Comipel horsebutt, and it looks absolutely perfect here. Excellent combo of classy pattern and rugged leather. 270-degree antique flat welt, Dainite sole.
2030 Halkett Derby Boot in C.F. Stead Slate Calf Suede
And while I’ve also fallen for some of the lighter suede Halketts, these should dirty up pretty nicely as well, and I’m always a sucker for a grey boot. More flat welt/Dainite here.

Ok maybe this is my ideal service boot: Maryam’s famed Toscanello, Ridgeway, all eyes: the works.

Another of Brett’s favorite leathers from Fall/Winter, this Rowdy is ready to rock. And I do so love a Scout on Morflex.

I’ll say it: I kinda dig the Bastion oxfords! And would workwear-out a pair. These are without question my favorites. A horsebutt oxford! Why the hell not.

Just another killer plain-toe Service Boot, in a deep, deep shade of brown. Honestly don’t know a ton about this leather other than I really like the looks of it.
2030 Derby Shoe in C.F. Stead Flint Calf Suede
Not a lot of derby shoes this time around! These are my personal winners.
2030 Herald Side Zip in C.F. Stead Whiskey Regency Calf
I’m historically not huge on side-zips, but if I ever got a pair, I’d go full class on them. With a leather sole, flat welt, and absolutely stunning Regency calf upper, these deliver on that.
2030 Country Derby in Polo Brown and C.F. Stead Terre Calf Suede
I haven’t always quite grasped the Country Derby, but this two-tone number has captured my heart. Classy as all get out.
Slipper in C.F. Stead Clove Regency Calf
And some slippers just for the hell of it. I tend to dig the suede in the slips, but the variation on this Regency calf looks absolutely delicious.
