Two things January 21st is known for: National Hugging Day in the United States, and it’s also Grigori Rasputin’s birthday. What do these two things have to do with our roundup this week? Absolutely nothing. I think…
Read on to learn the latest releases from Tricker’s, Alden, White’s, Meermin, and more!
Oh, and catch up on our previous roundups here, won’t you?

First up on Viberg’s docket for 2022 are their classic Service Boots in Horween’s Garnet shell cordovan, aka Color 2. Complimenting this luxurious shell are nine vintage brass eyelets, plus some Dainite rubber soles.
More hot new collabs at DR this week, as they return with a bunch more exclusive Tricker’s models. This versatile cap-toe boot is also 2298-lasted, with a 360 storm welt and Ridgeway soles.
These rough-n-ready plain toe boots are built on the 4497 last with a 360 storm welt and commando soles.
A new take on Tricker’s iconic Stow country boot in some brown nut Dublin leather, also on the 4497 last, with a 360 storm welt and Ridgeway soles.
And finally, the Bourton in a Stitchdown-favorite petrol reverse chamois from Horween. These derbies are made on the 2298 last with a 360 storm welt and commando soles.
In the first of four new Alden deliveries from Brogue this week, these low-key oxfords are built on the Hampton last in chocolate suede, and feature a 360 flat welt with single Waterloc soles.
This split-toe, four-eyelet blucher comes on the Leydon last with a 360 flat welt and some “light double” oiled leather soles. You can pick it in black shell…
…or go for the color 8 shell.
Last and certainly not least from Brogue, a plain toe boot done up on the 379X last with dark brown country grain, built with a 270 storm welt and commando soles. A good foul-weather pair right here.
A Semi Dress with a twist: rather than being built on the usual 55 last, East West ordered these to be made on the seldom-seen Swing last, an appealing Munson-inspired last for those of us who have a lot of width in the forefoot area. (These cost a pretty penny if you’re purchasing outside the UK or Europe, but for a unique White’s makeup that’s ready to ship, I’d say they’re worthwhile if you’ve been looking for this kind of boot.)
Arabica Lux gets the handsewn treatment in these Barrie-lasted moc toe boots. They come equipped with a 360 storm welt and commando soles. Snazzy!
Once again, you can find Horween shell at a great price over at Meermin, where they’re currently offering cap toe and NST boots in shades of black, burgundy, bourbon, and cognac! Hop on over to their MTO page—these models will only be available for a few more days.
Swedish sartorialists The Noble Shoe have some really neat Carlos Santos GMTOs open at the moment. First we’ve got these plain toe service boots in a nice waxed suede, built on Carlos Santos’ 316 last with some commando soles.
Carlos Santos x The Noble Shoe 9156 Field Boot in Green Suede/Guimaraes Patina Calf: $350 (Crowdfunded)
These also caught our eye: a mixed-media field boot featuring a green suede on the shaft, while the rest is made with calfskin hand-painted in CS’s Guimaraes dark brown patina. These are made on the 445 last with Ridgeway soles. These pairs will only get made if at least six orders are placed, so grab your buds to make ‘em happen!
Filipino retailer Signet is 1) a wondrous benevolent Patina Thunderdome sponsor, and 2) very good at Alden makeups. These 379X-lasted handsewn tan calf Indys with the now-popular (wonder why…wink emoji) heel foxing look fantastic. 270 storm welts and commando soles make these a winner for sure.
Not sure we’ve seen this shade of Waxy Mohawk on a Truman boot before, but it looks sweet. These service boots are made on the 79 last with a 270 storm welt and Vibram 700 soles.
Java waxed flesh also makes its return to Truman this week, in their tall Upland boot built on the 79 last with a 270 storm welt and Vibram 100 lug soles.
