Huge roudup this week—almost thirty pairs, including the launch of ButterScotch’s in house brand, Division Road x Nicks, Engineered Garments x Alden, a brand new Horween leather at Viberg, and tons more.

Lots and lots of previous roundups here.

Division Road x Nicks Western Rockabilly Boot in Cognac Shackleton: $795

The new “Western Rockabilly” boot is built on Nicks sprung-toe 10067 last, which has a wide (and tall) toe box and a slight narrower—but still roomy—fit in the waist and heel. Division Road asked for some slight tweaks to the pattern, including less stitching to the quarters, and built them out with Horween Shackleton uppers and Dr. Sole half-soles. That Shackleton is really somewhere in between a work and a casual leather—it’s combination tanned and a has a lot in common with Chromexcel, but it’s treated to be water resistant and comes in even thicker than the CXL Nicks uses on their heritage boots. The construction is double-row stitchdown and the shafts are cut to 7″.

Horween Service Boot 310 in Bracken Latigo Waxed Flesh

Horween Service Boot 310 in Bracken Latigo Waxed Flesh: $1,082

Viberg’s new drop dropped a leather that is—as far as we’re aware—new to boots altogether: Latigo Waxed Flesh. Like regular waxed flesh, the flesh is finished rather than the grain, but here the the latigo base tannage yields a stiffer and denser leather. It’s available in two colors (Braken and Moc, cool and warm brown respectively) on four models: a stitchdown Service Boot 310 with chunky eyelets and a Dainite outsole…

Horween Pachena Bay in Moc Latigo Waxed Flesh

Horween Pachena Bay in Moc Latigo Waxed Flesh: $1,176

…a Panchena Bay hiker with 360˚ storm welt and commando outsoles (the Braken version skips the padded collar)…

Iron Heart x Wesco Mr. Lou in Natural HorsehideIron Heart x Wesco Mr. Lou in Natural Horsehide

Iron Heart x Wesco Mr. Lou in Natural Horsehide: $1,164

The natural horsehide engineers are one of a handful of models that Wesco has in continuous production for Iron Heart, meaning stock trickles in and then quietly goes up on the site. Right now, they have stock in a whole bunch of sizes big and small. Built to a 10″ height, the uppers are tanned by Maryam, the half soles are from Dr. Sole, and it’s all held together by two rows of very neat stitchdown.

Standard & Strange x Wesco Mr. Lou in Brown Chromexcel

Standard & Strange x Wesco Mr. Lou in Brown Chromexcel: $709

There are also a few sizes remaining in Standard & Strange’s most recent Wesco makeup, a staple of a brown Chromexcel engineer with 10″ shafts and Dr. Sole half soles—you get the idea.

Ship John x Wesco Mr. Lou in Chocolate Brown Latigo

Ship John x Wesco Mr. Lou in Chocolate Brown Latigo: $704

There are also a few sizes left in Ship John’s recent “Latigo Lou” Collab with Wesco. The boots have grain out vamps and reversed shafts, both in chocolate (you guessed it) latigo. Bountiful week for Wesco.

Engineered Garments x Alden Indy Oxford in Color 8 Shell

Engineered Garments x Alden Indy Oxford in Color 8 Shell: $1,096

Indy shoes, a handsewn apron, Color 8 shell… these were definitely making the roundup. Constructed with a 360˚ flat welt and commando outsoles, on a last that looks suspiciously Trubalance like—but Engineered Garments dosen’t actually list in the product description, so take that with a grain of salt.

Engineered Garments x Alden Indy Oxford in Snuff Suede

Engineered Garments x Alden Indy Oxford in Snuff Suede: $768

There are a few non-shell versions as well, all more casual, with machine sewn aprons, 360˚ flat welts, and wedge soles.

Double Helix Oil Pump Boots in Burgundy Horsehide

Double Helix Oil Pump Boots in Burgundy Horsehide: $833

We probably wouldn’t advise you to pump oil in these. Save that for something with a less interesting upper leather, which is a medium weight teacore horsehide with a warm brown surface and a lighter core. They’re built with a 270˚ flat welt, micro stud outsoles, and lots and lots of hardware—four speedhooks and eleven eyelets. Of note: this is a roomy last, so those with narrower feet should probably steer clear, but conversely if you have a high instep or high volume feet, they’ll acommodate that.

Crown Northampton From the Stockroom Sale

Up to 50% off Crown Northampton’s “From the Stockroom”… Stock

Crown makes one of the resolable sneakers we believe deeply in, and they’ve just released a new section of the website with discounted pairs that “come from samples and photography, fit trials used while we refine sizing, cancelled made to order requests, and the occasional pair made from rare leathers that were too good to leave unused. Some may show a small cosmetic point that meant they were set aside, even though the make remains exactly as it should be.”

“Quantities are always small and sizes are scattered. Each pair is listed individually and priced on its own merits, based on grade and condition. What you see online is the exact pair you will receive.” And there you have it. There’s Horween shell cordovan in there!

Brogue x Alden Zenbutsu Blucher in Color 8 Shell

Brogue x Alden “Zenbutsu” in Color 8 Shell Cordovan: $999

Brogue has a clearly defined comfort zone when it comes to Alden makeups. There are plenty of exceptions, but often that means: lean 379x last, dark shell, and leather or commando outsoles (here it’s the latter). The “Zenbutsu” checks all of those boxes—it’s a solid, straightforward Color 8 Blucher with a 270˚ flat welt.

Brogue x Alden Marcello Tassel Loafer in Milkshake Suede

Brogue x Alden “Marcello” Tassel Loafer in Milkshake Suede: $708

ButterScotch Boots Clubman Chelsea in Tan Roughout

ButterScotch Boots Clubman Chelsea in Tan Roughout: $750

Two and half years ago, Long Beach’s ButterScotch was a retailer with a hole in their lineup. Now, they’re also a boot brand, and the Clubman Chelsea is their first model. The almost seven inch shaft makes them taller than most Chelseas on the market. A high walled toe profile and Vibram half-soles combine to place them on the casual side. Made in Los Angeles, they’re constructed with a 27o˚ flat welt and available in tan roughout…

Dr. Martens 1461 in Burgundy Calf

Dr. Martens 1461 in Burgundy Calf: $240

Standard & Strange is currently carrying an upgraded version of the Dr. Marten 1461, which uses calf from C.F. Stead in place of their usual heavily coated “smooth” leather. The rest of the boot is the same: heat welded rubber outsoles, a leather sockliner, and a fibreboard insole.
