Viberg Service Boot in Black Shell Cordovan: $2,240
They’re not cheap! No they’re not. But nobody else does shell like this. We wouldn’t mind seeing these kinds of 2030 Service Boots on Viberg’s excellent leather-sole setup, but the Ridgeway works too and will keep them on the streets more in the fall and winter.

Big Ol’ Grant Stone Loafer Restock—Last of the Season
It really does mean it’s fall when Grant Stone says they’re not restocking their most popular loafers until 2027. Dune CXL, Espresso suede, calf in Chestnut and Tobacco are here, along with their black calf tassel and horsebit loafers, in all manner of widths and sizes.
Russell Moccasin x Rose Anvil Knock-A-Bouts in Blood Core: $825
Weston Anvil takes on Russell’s recently revived Knock-A-Bout, with the Blood Core leather that has become something of a staple. A custom developed tannage from Seidel, its tough black surface covers a deep red color beneath. They also rounded off the topline of the boot a bit along with some pinking.
White’s Stockman in Brown Waxed Flesh and Distressed Roughout: $675
Okay, this isn’t technically a brand-new style from White’s, but I think it essentially counts as new when the only other iteration was a 200 pair limited release that sold out instantly. Built on the 1970 last, the Stockman combines the foundation of the Spokane icon’s engineer boots—sans straps—with a narrower, western-er shaft. The western boot influences continue with the dual side pull loops, and the Vibram 700 Chevron sole, attached underfoot with White’s machine stitchdown construction. The Stockman comes in three different leather options; these include the Dome-worthy combo of Horween’s brown waxed flesh and Seidel’s made-for-White’s distress roughout….

Wesco x Brooklyn Clothing Mister Lou in Mahogany Chromexcel: $835
Back in May, Brooklyn Clothing got in three different make-ups of Wesco’s cult favorite Mister Lou in honor of their 37th anniversary. That release saw the Lou dressed up in some shades of CXL that Brooklyn custom developed with Horween. Keeping the festivities going, Brooklyn has re-released a makeup they did last year, building the Mister Lou out of a rich mahogany Chromexcel. The trappings that make the Lou so popular—MP toe, narrower shaft, SuperGrip soles—are all here in all their glory.
Orée Stelvio Derbys in Charcoal Grey Horsehide: $595
In that aforementioned May Roundup, we also first covered NYC-based, multi-hyphenate brand Orée when they released some gnaaaarly engineer boots. Orée is back this week with a pair of derbies that are slightly less wild than the engineers in terms of leather, but still are not going to be mistaken for any other shoes on the street, especially thanks to the visual oomph provided by extremely serious hiking-style lacing hardware. Made in Italy from Italian veg-tan horsehide, the Stelvios have a slight iridescence to them, appearing black from some angles with the cooler gray undertones appearing from others.
Alden x Leffot V-Tip Blucher in Reverse Tobacco: $762
As fall creeps ever nearer (only 4 days away now!), and schools are fully back in session, the Ivy Style devil on my shoulder starts whispering in my ear louder and louder. Making matters worse, Leffot dropped an absolute heater of an Alden V-Tip Blucher, molded around the supremely comfy Trubalance last. The slightly rugged and smartly casual combo of Horween’s Reverse Tobacco Chamois works great with Alden’s commando soles.
Alden x Brogue Suna Ranger Mocc Blucher in Natural Chromexcel: $740
Hey look, another Alden collab! Somewhat of an anomaly in Alden’s catalogue—but sensical when you remember the brand is the definitive New England shoemaker—the Ranger Mocc is a smartly casual offering that leans heavily into the legacy of New England moccasin making. Brogue’s take on the style, the Suna, pairs the silhouette with a Goodyear wedge sole, adding some visual weight and a smooth ride underfoot. Built on the Van last, the Suna utilizes patina-ready natural Chromexcel from Horween to make for an attractive daily driver.
Unmarked Engineer Boots in Black Holanda Bison: £650.00
Unmarked’s FW26 collection is here! Expect to see them elsewehre too, but new styles for the León, Mexico based brand just hit the UK’s East West Apparel. Both of these boots are made from a character-filled pull-up teacore bison leather that was specially developed by Unmarked in collaboration with León’s local Cisne Tannery. Good wear will start to reveal that natural core, as well as further pronouncing that already pronounced grain and deep pull-up. A new style for Unmarked, their engineers skew more western than moto. The 002 last hugs in at the waist and the widens out for a comfortable ball before tapering back slightly to a sleek, almond toe. The Engineers are finished with 270° welt and Vibram 705 half soles underfoot. Also built from that Holanda Bison…
Unmarked Juan Snip Toe in Black Holanda Bison: £450.00
…we’ve got the Juan! A western mashup of side-zip cowboy styling and harness boot heaviness, the Juan sports an aggressively sprung toe and extra chunky stacked heel. Built on Unmarked’s Snip Toe last, these boots have a nice but of volume and a slightly squared off toe.
Thursday Boots Diplomat in Badlands Waxed Roughout: $199
Thursday Boots’ Diplomat, a low profile take on the classic moc toe work boot, just landed in Badlands Waxed Roughout. Built to resist moisture and guaranteed to pick up a great patina doing so, the Diplomat is ready for some fall weather. How are these things still just $199??? Thursday really is a marvel.
