We’ve got two brand new names in the roundup this week. Plenty of familiar ones too, including many shades of Mr. Lou at Brooklyn clothing and four new Viberg boots in Horween’s Washed Wax Flesh, and of course, plenty more below…

Trawl through tons of past releases here.

[Ed Note: while we never choose anything specifically because of them, some of these recommendations contain affiliate links—the price is the same for you, but Stitchdown gets a small commission if you make a purchase. Brooklyn Clothing x Wesco Mr. Lou in Havana Chromexcel

Brooklyn Clothing x Wesco Mr. Lou in Havana Chromexcel: $875

We’re happy to once again report Wesco’s wait times continue to crawl down—practically half what they were a few years ago. These though, were a 37-year wait—insofar the exigence for their creation was Brooklyn’s anniversary. There are three models, and all share identical specs save for upper leather: double row stitchdown construction, the MP1339 last, and brown SuperGrip half soles. For their part, the uppers are either Havana…

Brooklyn Clothing x Wesco Mr. Lou in Calvados Chromexcel

Brooklyn Clothing x Wesco Mr. Lou in Calvados Chromexcel: $875

…or Calvados Chromexcel, all of which are pretty darn rare. Great choices by Brooklyn here—CXL is as tried and true a Mister Lou leather as exists.

Orée Sergio Bounty Hunter Engineer Boots in Oxblood

Orée Sergio Bounty Hunter Engineer Boots in Oxblood Culatta and Cordovan: $820 (Preorder)

Orée has their hands in a lot of pies. They publish a magazine, put out the occasional piece of apparel or retrofuturist belt, and most importantly (for our purposes) make a lot of shoes and boots. Case in point—these engineers, presumably made for or from Hellboy. In reality, the uppers are clicked from shell-in Cullata, and the boots themselves—which have a 270˚ flat welt and Supergrip outsoles—are object dyed.

Orée Sergio Bounty Hunter Engineer Boots in Sand Suede

Orée Sergio Bounty Hunter Engineer Boots in Sand Suede: $595

And though it didn’t release this week, there are also a few sizes left in the far less dramatic Sand Suede version.

Yuketen Angler Moc in Brown Crazy Horse

Yuketen Angler Moc in Brown Crazy Horse: $968

A special model made for a pop-up at Drake’s LA, Yuketen ended up with a handful of extra sizes, so these Anglers are now up on their ready-to-wear page, complete with Vibram 2021 wedge soles.

Meanforme Binley in Simo White

Meanforme Binley in Simo White: $384

Meanforme is another brand mining the overlap between “recognizably traditional” and “something very new or very strange is going on here”. The Binley is a strobel-stitched sneaker with a crepe mudguard and a moc toe, with a Vibram Morflex outsole and uppers in Sciarada Castoro suede…

Meanforme Walkerville in Chestnut

Meanforme Walkerville in Chestnut: $316

…while the Walkervile uses the sachetto construction, where a sheet of crepe is folded around the bottom of the shoe on all sides and then sewn directly to the uppers. The pattern is very much space-station desert boot, complete with a skirt around the collar in place of fringe. Both models restocked in May, and their spring summer collection is releasing next month.

Unmarked Diego Boots in Brown Chromexcel

Unmarked Diego Boots in Brown Chromexcel: $605

A beefy size zip that’s mostly a big, unbroken expanse of leather—in this case Chromexcel—the Diego seems to have solidified its place as one of Unmarked’s core styles. These, made for East West Apparel, have a Vibram 705 half soles and a 270˚ flat welt on the E width 2012 last.
