After a cold, quiet December, we’ve managed—quite accidentally—to round up exactly 26 pairs of excellent boots and shoes for the new year. Specifically: two new models from Division Road and Tricker’s, a staple Lofgren engineer back at Standard & Strange, new Gore-Tex-lined bluchers from a Japanese brand you might not have heard of, and of course lots more below…
You’ll find all of our previous roundups collected here.
[Ed Note: while we never choose anything specifically because of them, some of these recommendations contain affiliate links—the price is the same for you, but Stitchdown gets a small commission if you make a purchase. It’s essential to keeping the site alive, so we really, really appreciate it.]

Division Road x Tricker’s Super Bourton Derby in Ambra and Cuoio Elbamatt: $765
Division Road closed out 2025 with a Tricker’s collab (see below), and true to form, they’re opening 2026 with…a Tricker’s collab. This time it’s a pair of Bourton derbies whose brougeing is simplified especially on the toe, with a subtly two-toned upper in two shades of Tempesti’s veg-tanned and hot stuffed Elbamatt tannage. The brogues sit atop 360˚ split welts and Vibram Morflex outsoles…

Division Road x Tricker’s Super Monkey in Cuoio & Ambra Elbamatt: $765
…and released alongside a DR classic “Super Monkey” which uses the darker Ambra color on the quarters and the lighter Cuoio on the toe and tongue. They use the same Morflex soles, this time white, and here secured with a 360˚ split reverse welt.
Division Road x Tricker’s Stow Boot in Badalassi Nero Pueblo: $765
December’s release included a blacked out stow boot on a Morflex wedge with Pueblo Vachetta uppers and a 270˚ split welt…

Division Road x Tricker’s Daniel Tramping Shoe in Badalassi Cognac Pueblo: $735
…as well as a new version of the Daniel Tramping Shoe in cognac Pueblo sporting a Vibram 2060 wedge and a 360˚ storm welt.
Viberg Navvy BCT in Malt Alcazar Calf: $1,292
Viberg has been on a roll the last few weeks, dropping a handfull of limited release models in a washed version of Horween’s waxed flesh—which should wear a little softer out of the box than the non-washed equivalent—and a small collection of eight boots in C.F. Stead’s Tanganiyka. The latest drop is a thirteen boot collection of formal-leaning models in Annonay’s Alcazar Calf. That includes a trio of brogued cap-toe Navvy boots, like this one in “Malt” with a 270˚ flat welt and Dainite outsoles, as well as chukkas, loafers, and derbies.

Viberg Service Boot 2040 in Washed Brown Waxed Flesh: $1,040
Our favorite models from the Waxed Flesh release were the 2040 boot (just enough toe bump), which is built out on the reliable stitchdown construction/Ridgeway outsole combo…

Viberg Roper in Washed Brown Waxed Flesh: $1,176
…and the wedge-soled roper on the 2000 last, which hardly needs any explaining.

Viberg Side Zip in Black Tanganiyka: $1,090
On the Tanganiyka front there’s a high shafted size zip boot on the Chelsea variant of the 2030 last…

Viberg Chelsea in Snuff Tanganiyka: $1,090
…plus an actual Chelsea on the same 2030CH last, both of which use 270˚ flat welts and Dainite outsoles.

John Lofgren Monkey Boots in Black Shell Cordovan: $1,662
Lost and Found got their hands on a “Black Ops” version of Lofgren’s Monkey boot, clicked from black Shinki shell cordovan with black storm-welts and V-bar outsoles to match…

John Lofgren Combat Boots in Black Shell Cordovan: $1,662
…there’s also a “Black Ops” version of Lofgren’s Combat Boot with the same specs. The brogueing on the Combat Boots and the stitching on both models really stands out against the high-shine uppers.
John Lofgren Wabash Engineer Boots in Black Shinki Horsebutt: $1,375
Standard & Strange just restocked the teacore shinki horsebutt version of the Wabash engineer—the pair shown above have a couple years of wear put on them by S&S’s own very famous Gen. Unlike most Lofgren engineers, these have a flat welt rather than a storm welt. They’re built on V-bar outsoles and heels.
(Yes this is a worn photo—good eye)

John Lofgren Montgomery Boots in Havana Horween SHF: $1,055
And they also restocked Lofgren’s cap-toe Montgomery Boots, which have super thin Vibram half-soles and 270˚ flat welts (black colorway here).
John Lofgren Wabash Engineer Boots in Burgundy Chromexcel: $1,155
Speaking of the Wabash, Franklin & Poe also has new stock of the Burgundy Chromexcel version, but with the stormwelt this time as well as the same Vibram half soles.

Franklin & Poe x Wesco “Raven” in Horsehide CXL: $850
While F&P was not founded by Edgar Allan Poe, they are fans—hence the “Raven” moniker for this blacked-out version of Wesco’s Mister Lou engineer. Built with double row stitchdown and Dr. Sole half soles, they have the Wesco logo embossed on the front of the shafts. But don’t think you can go a-tapping on stranger’s chamber doors just because you pick up a pair.
Buzz Rickson M-43 Service Shoe in Camel: $825
Buzz Rickson’s version of the boondocker hews closer to the original than many reproductions, with custom-spec repro soles and heels, a 270˚ flat welt, and a brown roughout uppers riveted at the quarters. Right now you can find them at Brooklyn Clothing, one of the only North American retailers that stocks the brand.

Rolling Dub Trio Loro in Black Horse Front and Goatskin: $1,350
True to its cowboy inspiration, the Loro never says in the any one place for long, but there are a few sizes left in stock at Butterscotch. The model has a pretty serious heel, Vibram 269 outsoles, and stitchdown construction, plus the signature flames on the goatskin shaft and a toebug.

Rolling Dub Trio Gleaners in Black Box Calf: $900
Butterscotch is also carrying the Gleaners Zip, a more straightforward side zip boot in calf that still has a pretty heavily sprung toe and logger heel, though neither are quite as pronounced as on the Loro.

Regal Shoe & Co. U-Tip in Grey Suede: $328
A shoemaker based in Shibuya, Tokyo, Regal has been doing a fantastic job creating Gore-Tex-lined versions of traditional welted patterns. Their latest release is a pair of U-Tip bluchers in gray suede…

Regal Shoe & Co. U-Tip in Black Embossed: $328
…or black embossed kid, both from Sanyo leather, which have a short vamp that sits atop a 360˚ split welt and Vibram New Flex outsoles. It’s pretty damn rare to find a Gore-Tex boot with this kind of build quality, and vice versa. There’s no reason has to be a tradeoff between looks, quality build, and modern materials that excel at specific tasks, and it’s always cool when a brand makes a point of showing that.

Brick + Mortar x Alden “Westport” in Humus Brown Suede: $710
If you’re looking for a U-tip but can’t stand the Gore-tex, Brick + Mortar restocked their “Westport” makeup in suede. A wedge-soled Indy shoe variant, they’re built on the Trubalance last with a 360˚ split reverse welt.

Brick + Mortar x Alden “Ricky” Boot in Lead Grey Suede: $735
They also restocked the regular height “Ricky” Indy, with shares the Westport’s split reverse welt, outsole, and last but has a grey suede upper with an all eyelet hardware configuration.

Brogue x Alden Gambino Boot in Brown Calf: $735
Brogue recently resurrected the Gambino boot, an Alden makeup that was originally a three-way collaboration with Timeworn Clothing Co. Like many of Brogue’s Alden models, they’re built on the 379x last, which fits narrow in the heel and wider through the ball and toe-box. The uppers are clicked from Horween calf, and are attached to the double waterlock leather soles (our favorite from Alden) with a 270˚ flat welt.

Oak Street Bootmakers Bit Moc in Natural Scotch Grain Chromexcel: $368
While Chromexcel is typically smooth, Horween can emboss it with any one of a wide range of patterns, from hatchgrain to floral scrollwork. Oak Street’s new moccasin makeups use the scotch grain pattern, embossed on Natural Chromexcel and combined with lightweight lug soles on their Bit…

Oak Street Bootmakers Lug Penny Moc in Natural Scotch Grain Chromexcel: $368
…and Penny Moc patterns.

Thursday Journeyman in New England Snuff Suede: $325
Many of Thursday’s entry level boots have synthetic guts, they also have a rapidly growing range of all-leather offerings in some very respectable leathers, like this new version of the Journeyman Chelsea in C.F. Stead’s Repello suede, built with a 270˚ flat welt and rubber outsoles.
