A Canadian Timbits odyssey, a snowstorm, and two flat tires later, we are once again back to bring you all the week’s boots, including: new NYC exclusive jungle boots from Viberg, a cameo from Billy Tannery, Paraboot x Arpenteur, and lots more.

Viberg Jungle Boot in Black Unicorn Roughout: $1,145
While these are technically exclusive to NYC, the city’s borders extend into cyberspace (they’re on the Viberg NYC website). Vamps and counter covers clicked from elk roughout are combined with with canvas quarters and extra textured laces, and attacked to a Vibram Sierra outsole via a 360˚ split welt. Built on the 1940 last, but plausibly from the future. There’s a black version…

…as well as a tan (“Mojave”) option.
Billy Tannery x Cheaney Brixton in Deer: $677
Billy Tannery is—as far as we know—England’s first new tannery in over a century, focused on taking goat hides that were previously thrown away or burned, and turning them into bags, backpacks, wallets, and occasionally shoes. It’s a really cool story we covered in detail on the Shoecast way back in 2022. This time they’re collaborating with Cheaney, whose factory is just 20 miles from the tannery in Northampton, on a pair of Brixton boots in deer hide, on Vibram Mirto outsoles. They have 260˚ split welts, and—this is new to us—come with an NFC tag that contains traceability information for the materials in your specific pair of boots. Few other tanneries, if any, have that level of supply chain transparency.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots in Black Ezo Bear: $1,950
Ezo bear isn’t an easy leather to come by—hides only become available when an animal dies naturally in the wild and the body is retrieved. The leather has a fine, even grain to it, and Lofgren has used it on a pair of monkey boots, on Vibram 700 outsoles, anchored with a 360˚ split welt. They’re currently available at Franklin & Poe…

Franklin & Poe x Wesco Mr. Lou in Tobbacco Chromexcel: $769
…as are a new run of Wesco’s Mr. Lou Engineer in Tobacco Chromexcel. The classic engineer built out with a 10″ shaft hight, Wesco’s MP toe, and Dr. Sole Supergrip half-soles.

John Lofgren Montgomery Boot in Havana SHF: $1,055
A brand new model from Lofgren, the Montgomery has a higher shaft than many of their other models, and the uppers feature a cap-toe and a decorative stitchline along the quarters. Contrasted with 270˚ flat welts on Vibram 2027 half-soles in either Havana…

Double Helix Matrix 5.7 in Chocolate Horsebutt Strip: $870
Double Helix is best known for their jackets, but they also make a line of funky but well executed boots, with some of the most interesting toe shapes in the game. The Matrix has a square—practically 90˚—toe. These makeups are clicked from either chocolate…

…or black horsebutt strip. According to East West Apparel, the last has a snug heel, but an E width toe with plenty of room. Underfoot are Double Helix branded nitrile-cork outsoles, secured with a 270˚ flat welt.

Brogue x Alden Rocky U-Tip Boot in Reverse Tobacco Chamois: $736
The Rocky is a heavily modified Indy on the 379x last, with a quarter stitching removed, and added heel counter for support. They’re spec’ed out with crepe soles and a 360˚ flat welt, and clicked from Reverse Chamois in tobacco.

Brogue x Alden Indy Boot in Natural Chromexcel: $732
Brogue is also carrying the standard Trubalance Indy, with ne0-cork outsoles, the standard quarter stitching, and 270˚ storm welts. These are in natural Chromexcel.

Edward Green x Leffot Falkirk in Iron Waxed Suede: $1,750 (Pre-order)
There’s almost nowhere you’ll find more brogueing on a oxford than these Falkirks from Edward Green. They’re also shipping with free shoe trees through the end of the trunk shoe Leffot is hosting on from December 12th-13th. As for the materials, Leffot’s preorder version is clicked from iron waxed suede, and attached to their R2 rubber outsoles with a 270˚ flat welt.

Barbour x Loake Gisbourne in Brown Waxy: $570
Britain isn’t done for the week. Barbour and Loake have teamed up on a pair of models that use recycled waxed canvas from Barbour’s jackets on goodyear welted footwear. The tassel oafer is already sold out, but there’s still stock of the Gisbourne, an apron-toed boot where the canvas is placed on the quarters. They use Loake’s 24 last, a roomy, country last that’s combined with a rubber outsole and 360˚ split welt.
Apenteur x Paraboot Bergy in Grainé Ébène: $732
Don’t ask me to pronounce the leather, but the Bergy is a new model from Paraboot and quite possibly their most reliable collaborator, Arpenteur—whose OG Mirage is unequivocally the best Paraboot collab of all time. This time we’ve got a hiking-inspired model with a padded collar available in two grain leathers, brown…
